James leads Rawlinson & Hunter’s UK Business Tax Group. He focuses on providing practical corporate tax advice to businesses operating in the UK.

He advises on a wide range of tax matters for owner managed, fast growth, PE backed and multinational businesses.
James specialises in advising domestic and international businesses through reorganisations and M&A transactions.

Through his career he has worked with many renowned businesses in the Technology, Life Sciences and Consumer Product sectors.

James joined Rawlinson & Hunter in 2018 after 19 years of experience with Ernst & Young where he worked in the Thames Valley, New York and London.
James is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is a graduate of The University of Sheffield, with a degree in Economics.
