James is a Partner in Rawlinson & Hunter’s Business Tax Group in London. He focuses on providing practical corporate tax advice to businesses operating in the UK.
He advises on a wide range of corporate tax matters for owner managed, fast growth, PE backed and multinational businesses. Specialisms include advising businesses on corporate tax compliance requirements, tax risk management matters (including the compliance with the corporate offences for failing to prevent criminal facilitation of tax evasion legislation), the tax impact of international expansion (both into and out of the UK), intangible fixed asset management and the impact of legislation driven by the OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting initiative. James has worked with many renowned businesses in the Technology, Life Sciences and Consumer Product sectors.
James joined Rawlinson & Hunter in 2018 after 19 years of experience with Ernst & Young where he worked in the Thames Valley, New York and London.
James is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is a graduate of The University of Sheffield, with a degree in Economics.
